Have you driven the car with the bov on?
Have you tried taking it for a spin when it chatters and loosening it bit by bit till it stops?

total bummer if its fake bud, but for that price it was worth a shot. Does it sound shit or is it passable?

Greddy done this for the type rs, could get in touch and ask if they have one for the type s?

oh dear fellas

i got a genuine type s cost ,me £165, at 0.4 bar it will whistle very loud, it always whistles unless very very tight or very very soft. and at 1.1bar its a huge whoosh with the after whistle at the end. its not hard to get the whistle sound to emit from these valves. i have had two now and one from new one used both been same to adjust and same sound. you have a problem with the valve mate. And below 2.0 bar of boost you only connect the top vacume inlet pipe not both, as this will cause compressor stall (chatter sound)

sorry I didnt see this earlier - did you closely inspect the diaphragm? the clones have a poor weaker diapragm, HOWEVER this can be replaced with a genuine greddy part, all credit to the guys on the Mitsi US forums where I saw this done, ill try and hook you up with a link, ps, the 2 feeds on the bov are intended to be hooked up, with a connection either side of the throttle bodt, in a push pull fashion.
