thats rubbish the avcr is one of the most capable and stable boost platforms you can buy. its just most people don't have a clue how to set them up. blitz is good but has no ability to correct for advanced creep at topend, where avcr does.

I can't recommend the blitz enough. I had one on my 200 then when I got my starlet bought another for that. I've had 2 gizmos and they were both shocking. Also had a greddy unit which failed. Avcr I have been told is a good unit but expensive and hard to use. If your are buying one spend Abit more and buy the blitz at least you only have to buy it once :)

I had a blitz dsbc, and it was very easy to install, very easy to setup, but it was shit and the solenoid went.
I've also had an apexi avcr before, and that was 100x better, don't get me wrong the dsbc is good, if it works. But the whole interface of the avcr is much better, has more features, it is hard to get your head around it had first, read the manual a couple of times and go and have a play with it, you'll soon get used to it ;)

If you have a dyno or something to monitor why not ?, but if you want to got to high performance EBC why not going to last HKS evc ?

i have my d sbc spec r with 3 years now and i bought it s/h and the only problem i'v had with it is in the freezing weather the solenoid sticks and to solve that all i'd need to do is spray a bit of wd40 or the likes on the solenoid's

in my island the AVC-R is in all diesel engine car like SEAT tdi /Peugeot 206 HDi etc ...they use this boost controller and they tune it on a dyno to achieve top end ...and yes they have a monitoring on the bost pressure to verify stability

About the last HKS , i have never seen a so competitive EBC , easy to use and very very good ,this is the dream EBC for me ...In a couple of time i will sell my Blitz id color .The only problem with this unit ,it is the problem to switch boost in the fly like the old SBC units
