Rolling road at Engine Advantages!

I booked in for Engine Advantages two weeks ago yeaterday. So off i went yesterday to get my car rolling roaded and mapped. Have just fitted in a new engine which has been rebuild not by me an not so long ago. It has fitted forged pistons and 5e cams. Running with it a TD04L costom manifold and decat pipe front mount ect. Using the NEW HDI boost controller along with E-manage :) Paul Hills at Engine Advantages was very impressed with the boost controller and gauge. Im very happy with my result that Paul has got from mapping the car. I dont believe for any second that his tuning is not any good. My result was good :)

It made. :cool:

246BHP at 1.4 bar
185hp at the wheels
213.1 torque
A/F ratio was at 12:1 (will try and put the graph up)

cool, good result.

i need to get my car mapped there but was told its a month wait and i couldnt plan that far ahead weather wise and that. guess things have slowed down a bit more now.

how long did the mapping take may i ask?

It didnt take to long was a few hours inc a road test. Paul is spot on best thing to do is let him get on with it as he knows what he is doing. I only waited two weeks an so did my m8. He mentioned a cancelation on wednesday so phone up and ask if the slot is still free. :) Good luck getting it sorted out m8.

1.4 bar on a TD04? I think I would expect more than 246... Gee made 275 hp at 1.4. Could depend on many things though I guess.

Bet it pulls nicely though, heard good things about Engine Advantages. :)

he can be a bit hit and miss just from my experiance,

you sure your a/f is 12.1?

and i'm surprised he gave an a/f graph he doesnt usually.

bit suprised actually with the figure. my hybrid setup made 232hp@1 bar. at engine advantages..main thing is aslong as ur happy and goes well on the road.which im sure it does:)

That seems quite low to me, I know my setup seems high to some people but it is correct. I made at 1.1 bar 248bhp @fly@6921rpm and 212 @wheels@6891rpm but my torque was only 198 or something

Your loosing a huge amount to the wheels.

figure seems a bit low for that boost and she sure isnt running rich lol..but its forged and i guess the engine knock is ok

i have always heard good stuff about Paul

There is nothing wrong with Engine Advantages tuning. An i will take it back there in the future.

The results will vary between engines, manifolds also engine managment. There are loads of other variables. Hence why my results will be different to other peoples. Car feels amazingly quick now guess thats all that matters till i get used to it. Then i will find another way to make it faster hehe :drive:
