Arranged to collect some parts from him today(pre arranged by pm) text to say i'm on my way he said hes not there and half the stuff i was going to buy had already been sold.
You have been warned:argue:
I agree its not good practice but technically those items are not yours until the money is in his hands ... thats were the deposit would've came into it to secure them ... but hey aint fair aswell on ya mate.
Iain
Completely agree aswell that you need a deposit to secure something but at the same time it takes nothing to drop a PM or a text to say that they had sold before the buyer was on his way down. But there is always 2 sides to every story....

Basically yes, you would do the exact same and you know it! I didnt even know when/if you were coming! You dont understand how many PM's you get & have to keep track of. Of course im in it for the money, why else would i be selling things? TBH i think your just out to piss people off. I know you might be upset but you may aswell get on with life because no matter how much you complain your not going to get a bonnet lol
This is how to reserve item for collection, (way i did it), agree with a price, followed by a time/date to pick it, (plus a reminder on the day of collection). Once both side have agreed its, there no reason to sell it to someone else! Its complete waste of time for the buyer as he could have got an alternative in that time period!
With sellers, its 1st come, 1st served! Once agreed, payment/ collection in agreed time period! simple as!
Money talks im afraid. If you didnt put a deposit down then a message saying 'il take it' means nothing.
Ive sold things before and people have said yeah il take it for $$$ and then they never get back to you, its not easy when your selling alot of parts trying to keep track of everything.
Im not saying what happened was right, but It could easily of been resolved via PM or ringing him (you had his number to text him??) instead of posting this on here...
