sandwich plate

fitted my autobhann oil sandwich plate and its leakin oil i had it fitted to the car before as it was donig the same thing but i bought another gauge so i just refitted it hoping it wouldn`t leak,

even when i take off the plate an fit the oil filter to the block there is still a little bit of oil that will be still seeping through where the filter meets the housing but only small amounts,,

so should i buy a different sandwich plate or replace the oil filter housing??

Sounds like damaged seal surface on the block or the threaded part is bent?

so would replacing the oil filter housing do the trick??

Check the sealing face on the filter housing - it may just need a clean or smoothed off with a bit of scotchbrite etc

rite, il just use a brillo pad, prob the same thing

Check the threads on the oil filter bolt as well, its possible they are damaged and the filter is getting tight on the threads before seating tightly on the housing.

eh i gave the oil filter housing a scrubing with brillo pad an put it back together,

it still leaks abit where the oil filter meets the sandwich plate,, there has been a few different oil filters on it so it cant be that,,

with closer inspection it is leakin between oil filter housing and sandwich plate,,

a new sandwich plate then see if the new 1 dont leak,,
