They are a complete joke Santander. They sent me to debt collection after an account was settled in error. This is why ill NEVER keep my money in a bank account any longer.

Not sure if your aware of this either .. not saying this is your case but a point to note for anyone.

If your bank with Santander for example and have a credit card with them they are authorised to take all the money out of your account when they wish. Its recommended you dont take/borrow any money with who you bank with. Something i learned when working for a debt collection agency.

Thanks for the heads up mate, that seems pretty sucky to be fair... I was also told that santander isnt a bank but a building society (no idea if that makes a diff or anything!) I'll deffo be changing accounts as it's not the first time they've tried charging me... I've had about 8 bank charges or so in total one of which I was guilty of.
