I know. Scary, eh? Tbh, I look at post count and rep amount as a measure of how much I can trust someone..am I being naive? lol! Seriously though, the vast majority of dealings between tgtt members are problem free...just a few problem people..I will continue to buy as normal from here...lucky not to be one of the burned ones and I do feel bad for you guys, hope everything goes ok for ye. Hats off to tgtt members and mods who spotted this etc! Good work guys as usuall.

I agree there could be more victims, but unless those people report it to the police they wont have anything to investigate.

he was prob "turned on" as you put it.. because in the first post it is all explained, there is a link to uksc, where it was first posted about, and reading that thread, it explains about micky first buying a jam ecu, and after 3 weeks not recieving it, and then him and faisal both seemingly buying the same power FC for a really cheap price. the guy then claiming micky had to send it as a gift, cos if he sends it as a goods payment, the guy cant take the £££ from his account.

Unfortunately only members can read threads on uksc and the details of when the items had been purchased were not mentioned here and so I am glad easty asked and the info was added to this thread.
In my opinion this thread should be cleaned up there's a lot of needless posts that could be interpreted by the autorities as threats and if the authorities read this thread whitch they more than likley will be due to the blatent fraud that has been comitted theese posts will reflect very badly on the site and the innocent parties and it could take their attention away from the crime at hand.
As Dylan pointed out a few posts up, I could not see the thread on UKSC so I was only able to go by the facts that are presented in this thread. There was no mention at all about the same parts beig sold to different people. I was just trying to establish the facts, that is all.
I am not doubting for a second that this guy is a scammer.

Gotta admit I'm with Easty and MK on this one. The thread is very vague as to what has EXACTLY happened. Not having access to the UKSC thread probably doesn't help. Don't get me wrong I'm not defending anyone here but it is kinda hard to get the full picutre from whats been posted on here. Plus I think how Easty was reacted to was bang out of order, I know people are wound up over whats gone on but all he was trying to was get the full picture.

Well... Put it this way. Only Glanza_Dan is complaining on this thread, and yet Martin McCulloch has refunded the money (through Dino!). When you phone up Martin's phone, it gets answered as Dan. Mickey_Boy also got a refund from Dino (when again Dan's the only one complaining), and he has at least 5 email addresses that he uses to collect payments. Also, his mobile has been used for at least 3 different adverts showing different names. Even the IP addresses tie in to his numerous email accounts, and he seems to have at least 3 different addresses.
Add that to the fact that we can prove that Mickey_Boy never received his ECU from Rick, and the fact that at least 3 people on here (who knows how many other people there are) paid for the Apexi Power FC he was advertising, and you have enough evidence to realise that he's up to no good.
If he was genuine, why would he accept payments from people when an item's already sold? Why does he sell stuff under different names?
And finally, ask yourself this. Would you buy from this person?

That helps Mark. This thread is so cluttered its hard to pick out and put together what actually matters. I know tempers are a bit frayed at the minute but I believe a few people owe Easty an apollogy, all he was trying to do was work out what had gone on and he got shot down for it.

Personally, I think it was the way he questioned it. After all, if you don't have all the facts to hand, how can you make an informed decision? Makes the argument a little unbalanced doesn't it?
