Ill not be back to Crail this year. The GT will be getting tucked away this weekend for the winter.

As for Knockhill next year, ive always heard the Track Scotland days are well mannered, unlike the Speed Sundays....

The TS days are extremely well mannered. They limit the two hour session to 30 cars and 4 hour sessions to 50 cars. I went to all the TS events last year apart from 2. There has not been a single crash in any of the sessions. There has obviously been a few offs but this is down to the driver pushing too hard. I will only ever do their trackdays. Also, the pax laps in an Ultima GTR and Porsche GT3 RS are an added bonus ;)

Added bonus indeed. Ultima GTR's are nice machines. Uncle should never have sold his :(

Never thought about doing the TS days, always done the SIDC days or ADMC events.
Will be doing more next year though.

ultimas are cool as tits, there was 2 at knockhill last year when i was there, i wouldnt touch TS days, whats the point in paying all that money to go on a race track to behave yourself?? speed sundays are good race all day just dont let the marshalls catch you filming any of it  lol

Thats a bit daft to come out with something like that.
If you drive like a knob, then be expected to be treated like one.
Same applys at Knockhill, at any event.

As said, ive never been to a TS day, but having an open pitlane is far better than going out in groups, with a bunch of numptys.

Your aloud to film aswell, as long as its secure, its a safety issue.

Back on topic now...

Well to be honest mate I am glad that you wouldn't go near a TS trackday because I certainly would not like to be out on track with someone with an attitude like yours.

Rory, are you a member of SIDC or do you just pay that little bit extra?

Easty,

I pay the wee bit extra, the cousin of mine usually gets an invite through the Westfield / Caterham forums. Normally tag along with him or get the car on track, depending on space.

Guys,

Speed Sundays are ok, but as Rory said, some "spirited" driving goes on alot.

My friend has a Lotus Exige and he often attends at the TRACK SCOTLAND night, and they are much better and again as rory said, not nearly as much hastle!

However, let me know when, ill be there!

2009 :D

id drive like a knob on a track day to an extent but there are limits to what id do on the road compared to the track lol

Driving like a knob to an extent will still see you black flagged, and pulled off, ands thrown out. Not the best way to leaving....

Also you will annoy alot of people doing so, by Knockhill telling us we are not welcome any longer as a group.

Think about it.

yes but you can see where im coming from. a little bit of track action doesnt hurt anyone as long as your not out to kill them or yourself.

fuck it lol where are me meeting then? we could always leave it a few weeks more and make it a christmas meet. bring along the reindeer and the mince pies

Yeh up for that sounds like a plan! If we just meet in Perth guys or something like that, we all enjoy driving our cars and V power is down in price so why does it matter where we meet so lets get organised and do this!!!!

As previously stated, let me know when!

Think if we give it a week or more so that folk can get their cars ready etc

Maybe a few of the Glasgow area would like to convoy?
