Should I be concerned about this mark on my head?

Had my head refaced for my forged build. Got it back today but noticed it had a mark on the face right where the sealing ring would sit for the headgasket.

Should I be worried about it? I can feel it with my fingernail.

I wouldn't like to be taking any chances Duncan, especially in that area.

Took it back to them and they reckoned it will be fine.

I'm going to get a second opinion.....

Everything else is ok and I'm loathed to get it skimmed again as it's not ideal

Did they check the tolerance before they threw a brick at it ?
It should be gleaming fresh looking and I'm guessing they didn't take the valves out either

It been mildly ported, new valve guides, new stem seals, valve seals recut and the valves lapped in. It was then skimmed and chemically cleaned.

They also did my block and crank and balanced the whole bottom end, which all seems good from what I can see.

It didn't need a skim as such, just got it really lightly refaced so it was clean and had the best chance to seal, or so I though!
