I'd go onto scoobynet and get a td04 they are way cheaper.

Wastegates go for tial, turbosmart, sard, blitz, trust etc.

You need to check the flange and make sure it matches up to the manifold you have as some are square and some are diamond.

Zisco do one by a company called z sports. But I don't know what they are like!
ari thanks man!!!thta grand...sum td04s are costing a bomb to build!!!

put a wanted thread on scoobynet and u will get tons of responses :) i paid like £40 for mine and looked brand new!

thanks man...im looking for 250bhp or around that:)

i would suggest a stock td04 for the power you are after

also, i suggest that you buy a proper/reputable external wastegate like the others told you

you really want to do it right the first time, it saves you heartache and money later on

for the power he is after, the stock td04 will produce it easily at maybe 1.2/1.4bar depending
its a very strong turbo and even if it fails, its cheap to replace

serious man???nt too bad was it any gud???

yep was like a brand new turbo, done like 15,000 miles or summin stupidly low, and it looked in absolutely mint condition! no shaft play whatsoever....

and dont believe that a td04 is an under rated turbo! worst thing ive ever heard!!

td04 is an awesome all round turbo, hence why so many people use them on the 4e....are u forging ur car? if not theres not point getting a higher flow turbo such as a td05 etc as you wont be able to use its full potential unless you wana run it at low boost but thats pointless imo

in that case i dont even see why youd need a hybrid td04, for the money a stock td04l will do the job easily! at 1bar it will make just over 200.....with a good map people have made 230bhp but obviously that comes down to alot of variables. its not really boost that damages your engine, it comes down to the tune and preventing detonation/knocking and things. obviously the more boost you run the hotter the internals can become so you risk melting a piston etc

for your setup tho a stock td04l would be ideal as said, you dont even need to run an external wastegate, the td04 doesnt really creep that much due too a larger wastegate. just an option if you cant afford the external wastegate! altough it may be nice to have particulary if you are looking to forge and run higher boost to control boost more efficiently.

no problem at all, i would get a decent manifold/downpipe from wepr, zisco or even speedvision, thats what im running and cant fault it at all for the money! there is a thread with everything u need to run a td04, j25tgi made it and its a really good readup, although i would say run an aftermarket ecu instead of a fpr/fcd as you will get better safer results :)

have a read of this mate:
