Why does my radiator start to smoke sometimes?

The temps are normal really, not overheating. Sometimes it is so bad I can see the smoke coming out of the grill when stationary.

Usally it does be as it burns it off so to say

My water bottle was expander bottle was leaking for a while before i copped what was up,changed and no more smoknig

Is there any smell of it?

look our for hairline cracks on your rad mate. could be water being pushed out only when thers enough pressure. looks dry to you as it will evaporate immediately with the heat. all the best.

was any coolant spilt when filling it up?

im asking cos i had the same thing and it took weeks to get rid of.

you can normally smell the coolant evaporating if its a small leek.

I'm sure you have a leak somewere going onto the turbo Gee. Could take the rad out and take it to someone who can pressure test it and make sure its not cracked.

Yeah I do have a little leak on the turbo mate. Aint coming from there thou.

This is deffo from the rad. Guess it could have some cracks somewhere. No bother.
