Snapped headbolt :(

Anyone had this happen? No idea how I am going to get it out. Pretty gutted tbh!

Any advise it's gone on one of the dowel holes and it about 10mm in. Was bolt number 7 on the final torque down :(

Nightmare

I'm terrible at removing snapped bolts so can't share anything useful. If the engine is out you could take it to an engineering shop possibly?

Yeah, it's all nice and clean.

Managed to get it out easy tbh. As it had oil on it from install, once I got something to turn it with, it came out with no bother.

I've emailed the supplier. Will see what they come back with.

i usually use a dot punch and tap it around..learned this trick from a mechanic
It was too far in to get a dot punch on to begin with. The dowel made access a little harder too.

Main thing is it's out, so no damage done. Just need to sort the bolts and try again.
