whats it running now dan?

I dont think the "scene" as half as big as it used to be when were all young whipper snappers but i do have a softspot for these cars and it would be sweet to just have a little project or something i fettle with!

I think there is a new breed of 18-24 year olds keeping the starlet scene alive :)

Many of the old big power GT's have mostly been broken from back in the day now.

I'd have the GT over the Glanza any day still. Just for the rare factor of them compared to Glanzas :)

yeah i can see your point, its something to think about for sure...

There does seem to be a lot of newbies but thats never a bad thing, the car is absolutely getting rare now and i almost think you might see a few of the likes of me coming back to owning one at some point because they are now a rare sight and we know enough about them to get by when it becomes rare.

If i get a starlet now aswell the good thing is it will no longer be on a shoestring budget, iv got a decent paid job now and will have funds to throw it something if need be...

I don't know, I guys the old guys moved on..the new guys go somewhere else and that leaves us :)

Still, some nice tidy bases Neal for a good build if you've got some £'s to chuck at it now and no shortage of places to get performance parts for them. You could just keep it standard like I have for the past 7 years :)

The scene is definitely quiet nowadays Neal, nowhere is as busy as this place was that's for sure!

TGTT has more answers than questions at this stage but you could try ukso and uksc (if it's still working). We get a lot more browsers than posters which shows how much info we have gathered over the years. A lot of the people who took part in those discussions are still about so feel free to resurrect an old thread if you need help.

We are seeing a raft of returning starleteers which is great, I think once you have owned one it's hard to find another car that has the same fun factor. There's also a desire to create a car equal to or greater than the one that came before it. Evolution is a natural process I guess!
