so your new sensor has a single spade connection ya and if so cut off the plug on the loom and put on a spade connection to suite sensor

no right i used to have a 98 spec thermostat housing with a single three pin plug for the coolant temperature sensor. but because i am now using a 95 wiring loom i have purchased the 95 spec sensor which has only two pins on it and i have also installed the 95 thermostat housing which in the pics above has an extra threaded hole in it! which i assumed would be for another smaller sensor which would have a connection on for the spade connector? it is the smaller sensor that i am missing and need! the sensor that attatches to the spade connector on the wiring loom! ill see if i can make some sense with pics 2 mins!

ha ha gotta love paint!

right the new thermostat housing is what is installed on my car now!
ABC.jpg

Hole A is what i am missing!

Hole B has a green two pin sensor screwed in it which has a green two pin plug attacthed to it!

Hole C is blocked off by a big bolt!

and these two are the plugs that i need to connect the green two pin attached to B and i would assume something needs to screw into hole A that would have a spade attached to it for the spade connection!

now weir on the one road mate

C = null and void.. nothing goes there.. use bolt from old housing to block it off
B = coolant temp sensor
A = temp gauge sensor.. all i know about this is when you plug it out the temp gauge rises to max..

ive searched and seached for the parts number you need and i just cant find it mate.. it doesnt appear to be on toyodiy either on any model unless im missing something.. may i suggest you also put up a thread with the picture you have there of new housing asking for that sensor (A)... ill keep looking for ya mate.. it may be 91611-60835 but it doesnt state what it is and is only down as a standard part.. have a look at link below
