Haven't heard tell of the recent versions unfortunately, Speedvision was a trader on here until the problems arose. He's kept his distance since.

I was one of the guys who had problems with these cams. The eventual second replacement came in a box from crower cams. Think they are over in your area so you could check them. My experience with aftermarket cams isnt good. They are frequently softer and prone to machining inconsistencies that make them a bit of a risk.

I eventually went back to stock with a bigger turbo and made all the high rev horsepower I needed.

You won't get any real power increase unless your maxing the efficiency of the stock cylinder head. You may gain a few ponies up top, but you'll lose a lot more at the bottom end so not worth the money really unless your chasing every last pony.

Chris and spuddy had some luck with them but that was partly a flowed head so not sure which helped more. In my opinion the 4e head isnt really a good base to start with flow wise so just put a bigger turbo on instead and save a lot of heartache.

Speaking of cams, Skunkworkz is developing drop in cams around the 300 euro mark, but as said they are still in development. Another option is Piper Cams, although they they reprofile your current cams.

Cruise cams are availble from RHD Japan, but will cost you an arm and a leg.

Are Tercel's not popular in the states? IIRC they come with a 5e-fhe, so you could pinch a set of slightly higher lifts cams from one of them.
