standard top mounts...what is the proper way?

looking at my own car,i havent my standard topmounts in the samei just fired the shocks in any old way!

anyway....just want to know what the proper way is?i have taken the pics from other threads,i hope you dont mind!if you do ill delete them

so what way are yours?and is there a proper way for them to sit or does it matter?

They have the letters R and L on them if i remember right

Gap should be at the front buddy. Common mistake.

yup, gap at the front...i have seen quite a few the wrong way round tho

Putting them in the wrong way will throw your castor angle way off which wont be good for handling, steering response or acceleration.
