trackers are worth pish these days! first thing the tea-leafs look for, they are pretty easy to find and rip out, thats if they are even working (from the horror stories i've read on other forums)

would say get a...

* Decent alarm
* DiskLok
* Autolok handbreak/gearstick lock
* Drive post
* Hidden switch for fuel/brakes
* Remove ECU if your going to be away for a while
* Black Jax if you live in an area where hijacking is a problem
* key safe for your house
* Land Anchor to chain it to the ground
* Locking wheel nuts
* Good lighting (CCTV if you have real problems)

at then end of the day, if someone wants you car bad enough they'll have it.....but thats what insurance is for!! it's not worth getting hurt over pride and not handing over your keys to someone with a knife/gun.

all of the above is just to make their life hard and hope they see it as too much effort and move onto the next one!

Clifford concept G5 in mine. cost £450,, but well worth the piece of mind.

only problem is, it doesn't matter what alarm and other security features are fitted to the car when all someone wants to do is vandalise it.

i came home last night to find the police surrounding my car because a group of pricks smashed in our garden fence, threw a concrete slab through a neighbours window, vandalised some other properties before starting on my car. apparantly they were trying to smash the windows by kicking them, and kicking the drivers door at the same time. Somehow, they didn't even manage to put a single scratch on it. The police are coming back this morning to analyse the footprints which the stupid twats left on my car

interesting to see no-one mentioning trackers yet,

by far and away the best mod ive seen is the snap off steering wheel. Dirt cheap given how effective it is, and you cant steer a car with no wheel!

I have fitted a nice alarm, and a multitude of hidden cutoff switches...they can't find them all...

The problem with a snap off steering wheel is they are not very practical because you cant take them everywhere with you shopping for example.

forward that to me too would ya TurboDave? :)

I think it would be good for when i'm in the house at night as an extra security, i use a stop lock for visual effect during the day :p

Give me 2 secs mate, buy a disklok I would recommend them 110% because they are so hard to get off and they are thatcham approved, steering wheels can easily be cut through but you cant even see the wheel with a disklok,

Also, anyone got any info where i can buy a snap of steering wheel kit? I've seen a few but I'm not sure about the fitments etc? I've an ep82 with a momo race steering wheel (aftermarket)

Another thing similar to the fuel cut off switches, I've heard of some people simply removing the fuse for the fuel pump. Not sure how effective this would be?

i'm pretty sure that the car would be totally immobile, unless the thieve is smart enough to check/carry spare fuses :p

I think the quick release wheel is a great idea :D

dont ever think that you live in a safe area as i thought i did, my glanza got stolen in a nice housing estate.
(my cars posted here)
i cant stress enough to get an alarm fitted and ideally keep it in a locked garage.
ive lost thousands and it is the worst thing to ever happen to you.
