sunroof wiring !

Hello........Some of you may know that I'am re shelling a crashsed GT into an EP80.....my EP80 car whch is a UK spec Starbo has an electric sunroof and I'am a bit concerned because I haven't seen many GT's with electric sunroofs and would like to know from you guys would I have to install extra wiring when I install the EP82 GT loom into the car for the sunroof ?? rep rewared !

Pretty sure the wiring looms are specific to the spec of the car. That means the sunroof wiring will need to be spliced in as best possible. It's a case of setting both looms down and tracing the wiring to see what needs swapped across.

Might be a melter to work on but if in doubt get a good autospark to look at it for you mate.

The thing is the old EP80 loom is long gone :(

What year of Starbo did your 4efte wiring come from?

Best bet is to locate a cabin and dash loom to suit it and hope it works with the engine loom. Can't see any reason why it shouldn't but I haven't mixed looms around before.

The one I had which I had stolen out of the shed.....yeah someone stole it was from a 95 GT.......my EP80 is a 90 reg

When I was converting my canvas top, I put the dash loom out of a '95 gt into in and nearly shit myself after when realising I had to connect the roof but to my relief Toyota the clever boys had a plug existing on the dash loom out of the 95 with no sunroof. Happy days!!

The main looms are all the same and they had sub-harnesses for the things like sunroofs, electric windows, central locking etc. if you have a gt loom from a car that didn't have a sunroof then don't worry, it will more than likely have a connector for the sunroof sub-harness. Like I said, I'll be able to find out if I can get the loom out of my old gt on monday and I'll try to get the control box that was on the roof for opening and closing the sunroof also. If they are in good condition and your willing to travel to get them then you can have them for free

if you could sort me out lad that be great...willing to head down to ye ! don't suppose you could sort me out with the engine and interior loom as well ?
