i really dont know but we ended up at a shell garage on the 12? anyway got home safe and sound at 8 oclock worth the 12hour round trip though.

Shame its gone mate, I know the feeling well. Tried a type r and a golf gti in a total of 8 months, and here I am back in a ep in well under a year so you might end up the same Ricky.

Hope the new owner looks after the gt as well as you did mate.

yeah lol,

he'll look after it, i just told him of a couple of temp fixes i made as i never had time to sort them, would have told him yesterday but was in a mad rush and it was pissing it down and i just forgot to mention them,

any body want some cams? i got a set being made at kent as wasnt planning on selling lol

Not so.good news last night,

I got a phone call saying basicly the engines just shat itself, am a little bit miffed as was running well when it left showed no signs of letting go or anything, never used oil never smoked apart from 6 months ago but that was due to a blocked breather, never sounded excessively noisy sounded the same from day 1,

feel really sorry for si-w, hardly.slept a wink last night

bad news for him, unusual mate might have turned thwe boost up a little too much or something , nothing you can do about it if was all good when you sold it pal.

Nah boost hasn't been adjusted let go on low boost under low load loud knocking but no point speculating what it could be now until it's been checked over, i know u didn't expect it to let go mate will just have to see what happens with it now

First thing i would be doing is a Compression test and go from there.

Unfortuently when its a private sale its sold as scene and there is absolutely no come back when you drive away. Feel for Si-W as Ricky said also, hopefully its not too bad but theres too many factors that may have caused it.

you would never expect it to happen especially with it being set up so well and running a forged engine.....and for it to happen on low boost when your taking it easy sucks big time.hopefully its not too bad and a relatively easy fix.

its a risk we all take when buying private and the car could last for years with no issues or give up the ghost sooner rather than later.

yeah sucks proper big time,

i swear that car is cursed, them lucky cats on the dash are a waste of flipping time
