the bigger the turbo the more overall power at higher RPM **meaning more lag**

If its just for drag racing then the 30 i guess seeing that its the biggest turbo out of the list Although i cant say what lag what be like with that turbo on the 4E... i would suggest going for a 5E with the 30 as it would obviously work much better..........

i just dont wanna have much lag for when the turbo comes in. surely someone has got it already and must know of its advantages and disadvantages. and what about the WEPR BALL BEARING GT28R TURBO UPGRADE KIT from the toysport.co.uk website. is it any good????

GT25r is less lagged than a td04l
both turbo are close in term of power output.
the reason why the GT25 is less lagged is cause it is dual ballbearing. so it is a much better turbo...

most people go for td04 cause it is a much cheaper turbo as you can find them for nothing second hand

you are right, few vf are ballbearing. don't think any td04 comes ballbearing from factory. never heard of any, now after market brands or turbo specialist could do them.

They take longer to spool on our engines for Dan, even thou they are ball bearing due to them being bigger turbo's.

600hp in a Starlet? Pointless IMO. You are just not going to get the power down, unless you go 4WD, which I don't think can be done with the 3S-GTE because of lack of space. It would be possible to build such a car, but the only resemblance the car would have to a Starlet would be the bodyshell. Z Cars did it with a Mini. Fibreglass bodyshell (Which is where the resemblance stops), aluminium spaceframe chassis, and a 350bhp supercharged K20 (EP3 Civic Type-R) lump. It costs about 30k to make.

Back on topic though, I can get hold of a brand new turbo from a mate for about £50. I'm thinking of getting it, should be good to flow 230-240bhp and is better than a TD04 IMO ;). I'm debating whether to get it or not. What is it....?

I'm not telling :p
