Theory off a oil catch can is and what its used for.

Based on what Dan_EP82 has told me and what I've read in the other thread, I think this is the "best" way to setup a can:

2 PCV valves: one from rocker cover to can, and one from can to inlet manifold. Stops the crankcase becoming pressurised and rubbish being blown back into it, and stops the can from become pressurised. The wire wool is there to help catch the oil vapour.

When i done what your doing chris it caused my car to smoke alot? as soon as i removed the lines and left the can in the engine bay its fine again any idea why it would cause white smoke?

Not sure...mines absolutely fine with that set-up. Someone also mentioned that it caused the car to idle high? Was that you? That was probably down to an air leak somewhere in the system...but no, I don't get any smoke. Very odd!

Is it better having 1 of these then them little filters ?

And where can you get them fancy braided lines from to goto the catch can.
