We've fitted extra locks to all the doors, bought an alarm system and are now considering CCTV, but that won't stop them stealing it and crashing it, will only prove it was them who stole it...

Thats absolute sh*t buddy. I believe you should be able to shoot them, that would stop em coming near your car. its worth going CCTV i suppose mate, at least you will know who has done it if it happens which i hope it doesnt.
your insurance must be ridiculous.
