i completely understand what peeps are say its no refrence to any memeber just as a whole as drivers we have all learned lessons But some lessons can be avoided by not forgetting simple things. I love how members on here promote the adverse tunning available and generes which are associated with the gt turbo. But and a big But Who promotes safe and effective driving i think we all as memebers should chin up cuz ive noticed alot of slacking and i think we should all try as a team to discourage bad driving though this forum.
The term street racing i mean anything associated with street racing look at it from a police officers point of view please ? .

i understand were ur coming from "I THINK" lol, iv bin in the trade for a few yrs, my dad has been in it all his life, some of the things that he's seen are mad. repairing a car one day, hit in the front & there was a shoe stuck undr the accelerator, he pulled it out and a big toe fell out of it!! i just tink u may get a few membrs taken back by this post with maybe the reputation that precedes STARLETS im a safe driver or like to tink so any way bt i do bt the boot down evry now & again, not in boyracers fashion just njoy abit of speed now and again. and onto my point..... im on the site afew months now & its tops, & tbh iv never come across any1 promoting dangerous driving which imo is different to njoying driven,

if you want the site to say promot safety maybe get in touch with an admin and come up with an idea 2gether!! othrwise i feel ur thread will not be appriciated!!

good suggestion.

At the OP: One of our Admins opened a thread recently reminding everyone to slow down as the road conditions are getting bad, this message is given out every year.

We do not allow threads regarding street racing

Often you will see members educating new members who ask "how do I get 300bhp".. they are usually advised to concentrate on handling and braking.

I think the vast majority of members on this site are extremely aware of safety and post in a responsible way. What they do (including me) while driving their cars is not anyones business as long as it is not promoted on here.

I also would like to draw your attention to the excellent track events that have been organised by Sam and others which give members the opportunity to test their driving abilities in a relatively safe manner away from public roads.

Perhaps a trip to another less safety orientated forum would be an eye opener for you mate.

For the record while I was living in Ireland I was doing between 35 and 60,000 miles per year in both a company car and my Glanza and have no convictions and zero points on my license... and I dont own a Glanza to drive it slowly.

PS: the last person to run in to the back of me was a very heavily pregnant woman in a new mini while I was sat at traffic lights in my avensis, before that it as a lad in a standard astra and before that it was a old man in a normal family car.

im really failing to see ure point on this, people will drive the way there going to, fullstop, i dont think you can change that, as soon as you start trying, people will get very bored of ure opinions i think. moderating the site is a different thing, i strongly agree with the census to stop street threads, there ridiculous, driving fast and having sumthing to prove against ure mates saxo is a world apart i believe

Dangerous drivers help clear the gene pool by killing themselves occasionally. It's just such a shame that sometimes they take the innocent with them.

A blast on a straight dual carriage way, free of traffic and people is acceptable, I mean a blast by accelerating TO the speed limit. I have seen people drive like complete idiots and it makes me FURIOUS because they put MY life at risk when overtaking me.

The majority of these people were not in the 'boy racer' car either, more a high performance modern saloon - where they have no idea or feel of traction and weight distribution (Masked by technology). I was travelling 100 miles a day, some of which on some very dangerous roads with high death tolls, I'm glad I don't anymore.

i agree with the modern saloon comment, most excessive speeders i see, are audi a4's and bmw 5 series, like, shitty 2.5 diesel versions too usually

As Dylan has already pointed out we are here to advise, support and help.

I think your point needs expressed on forums where streetracing is openly discussed, those in charge do not offer safety tips and people care less about their vehicles.

For the record - I have broken more than a few rules in the past but this forum and the people who use it have helped me see my mistakes and steer others from the same trouble.

But people indirectly are advertising there boy racer image for example i crashed into the back of .......................... .

just put a search into google and there is more than enough evidence to suggest member of this site are driving dangerously in public. How long will it be before a member on here kills somone where is the fine line ??
Is that you Gay Byrne?:eek::haha:

First ,come up with more credible evidence, look at your family and your extended family and ask yourself how many have crashed into the back of another car.

If you said
for example i crashed into the front/side of .......................... .
well then id be more inclined to think speed was invloved, but someone hit my mother (on the front left side) doing 25mph in a car park:eek:

People crash for different reasons other than speed and careless driving, and alot of the time its from a factor completely out of their control.

It sounds like you have something against the site and want to bring its name down.Unlike most sites this allows a 0 tollereance to street racing or anything illegal whatsoever, maybe you've been browsing the RSA or AAA websites aswell as here?

@ Basketash: Look mate. I posted a thread about my little accident at a roundabout because i own a Glanza. This Glanza now needs a few new parts. What better place to look for them???

Your posts have angered me and a few other members on here. You should be trying to help or give advice and support to other members not shoot them down in flames.

I will do my best to ignore your future posts.
