who posted a thread ?? ?? ?? and the video that was uploaded was on a private road the roads was private road in hemmington.

back to topic anyway.

i assume that people dont want to promote safe driving on this site then but slater people who have tried to ??

You are not promoting safe driving, you are just ,in every "paragraph", telling us we are not safe drivers. Not once have you given a link where a thread involved street racing and was allowed to continue. Not once have you quoted anyone saying they were being a dangerous driver. Not once have you made a valid point other than that TGTT.com is not safety orientated. Not once have you pointed out a particular valid reason as to why it isnt safe or a way to correct it.
I think something happened to you either here or out on the road and you had an idea, epiphany or something similar and instead of thinking it through you just posted what was in your head before getting it straight, which ended up in the utter garbage that came up on my screen on the first page, and instead of editing, changing tact,re-wording it you decided to defend it incase you looked ..eh.. silly.

Now thats what i hope, becasue if you did think it through, and still posted it up in the full awarness of how it sounded im scared that someone so narrow minded that has the world in such a twisted view can even type.

Maybe if you made your own car website and added all of the safety features you think TGTT.com is missing we could compare, maybe it would extend to site safety so that we have to wear bubble wrap while typing and look at the screen in a well lit room with a hammer beside the screen it case it attacks us..

Theres only so much the admins can do,and only so many will take the advice, they are not the gardai/cops nor are they your mother and father. We are all big enough to know what risks you take just by driving on the road and its only a select few who either ignore or dont respect them enough. Next time you see a starlet flying down the road, take note of it,when he comes back tell him he has to slow down, that he's a boy racer and doesnt think of the safety of other road users, when you get out of the hospital you can tell us how it went, becasue thats the next step for the admins and its not a viable one.

Id advise take a few days away from tgtt, come back and read your posts and if you still think they look ok..you should have stayed away longer;)

*Edit- Post a picture of this private road please, you'll be taken more seriously if you do. But please dont say you dont have to,if it was any of us,we would to show we are true to our word.

lol loving the pics.
i been on this site for a few years now daily, normally just reading post etc dont post that often, but i have never seen TGTT promote dangerous driving in any way, shape or form & always condon anything to do with street racing or driving like a prick.

but basketcase you seem like this site has pissed you off in some way so your trying to make it look bad when all your really doing is making your self look bad, you seriously need to grow up & stop being a cock .

thats all
thanks kyle

im not going to lie i have my fun on the roads but i do at a sensible time with hardly any other road users about and i drive to my limits, if people really wanna test there car then go to a track. if u are cornering and your car is pushing between grip and loosing grip (as in the maximum grip u have) then u are drivin too fast all there has to be is a patch oil oil or diesel, fuck it even some leaves and ur fucked

I just went through the threads you have started and found one that I deleted which you opened 12-11-2008, 06:02 PM

The thread features a video of you doing three high speed passes on what you call a "private road" which looks very much like a public road.

So.... now I suggest you get off your soapbox and stop preaching since about 12 months ago you were posting videos on here of you speeding.

Do you have anything else to tell us about how safe a driver you are?

I apologise if you now feel owned...

I think his car was on the dyno and he didnt get the results he wanted, or some "street racer" beat him and now he pissed.

Ok, jokes aside, as most people have said, this site is very strictly and very well controlled by the moderators, I remember when I joined I mentioned a race where I took on a gti or something, but I forget to mention that it was on the strip. And it was very quick that I was told by a moderator I must specify that the race was on a track and NOT on private roads or else my tread would be deleted. So please mr basketdude, explain to me how that in any way whatsoever depicts or promotes street racing or unsafe driving?

I think the problem is you joined the site but don't really read the threads so you have no idea what it's all about. Go check out the rule's sections, they might make things a lot clearer and less painfull for you.

And as somebody else here mentioned, I also have been rear ended as well as nearly killed situations where other people drove into me, and none of them in a modded car.

Modding done in the right way not only makes your car more fun so to say, but also safer. Fun being in controlled environments, which is strongly enforced by this site.

and on that note... I think the original poster has gotten enough attention with this thread.

If you have any constructive method for us to further promote safe driving please email us or post in the suggestions forum but be aware we are not here to preach to people.
