Life time garantee means life time of the tool so if it's 10 years old they wont do anything. Snap on normaly are quite leanant on this and replace anyway. But tbh they only ever break if you abuse them.
If you want snap-on quality and a similar garantee use Facom they're probably even better, but they're only just cheaper.
Same for stahlwille and geodore.
A bit cheaper and also well garanteed are teng, britool, carolus.
Halfords is pretty much the draper expert stuff, i'll ask the draper rep next time i see him.

Facom make halfords tools, I like halfords tool myself, never get any problems when I need to replace them after them breaking.

Mac, blue point/snap on are very expensive for what they are.

one of the other machanics I work with spent £83 on two bloody long reach spanners from snap on last week and I have some nearly the same made by teng tools and cost me £25 for a full set.

snap on is easy though, because the van pulls up at work and you can pay things off weekly, but it can get you into debt quickly lol

i found teng to be good value for money, considering that the quality is top notch. I find that buying something every other week soon accumulates a good selection of tools. Whatever you do i would advise that you buy a good quality tool, as some of the cheepies are pure scrap, i've already broke two in a cheap set and they slip very easily.
