Someone was telling me they've had 145mph out of their stock GT. I thought it was a load of bollox till I've read this thread!

I had my Paseo to 126mph, but thats a 1.5 N/A.. Still 15mph over what the book says it'll do. Modded, naturally.

But how accurate against GPS was it? does the td04 pull it through to 7500rpm in 5th then I'm not that brave yet lol?

yeah pulls the hole way, but obviously dies off right at the limit,

i think 140mph is a honest speed, i doubt many will get more than that unless 1.5 and big turbo,

the wind resistance at that speed is just crazy

I hit 125mhp on track and I woud have said the reading is abotu right as I passed my mate and he was going 117 on GPS

Ive hit 135MPH GPS with the 3S but that was on tiny 14's. And that literally used to bang off the limiter in 5th like i was still in 3rd lol.....

With the 16's and the new box my gearing has definitely change... I now ht a true speed of 90MPH(GPS) in 3rd gear... end of 5th feels bloody fast now, i haven't checked but i would say true speed of around 150MPH... feels alot better.

difference is dan 700cl and about 200ft/lbs of torque lol!

it may be different for you, but i can honestly say at 150mph on the clock i didnt think i was doing anything near that?

Hmmm, could say to be honest.... I have no clock speed as im still in KPH so occasionally put the GPS up to check true reading etc.

One time a friend was topping out at 118MPH in his corsaSRI and i cant believe how fast i went passed him, I was at nearly 7000RPM and boy was i moving.... I must have passed him at about 40MPH more.... looked silly lol....

Was a good track day that i must admit.

yeah no doubt, when i was on the track with a few other cars i did feel like i flew past also, but i dunno 150mph i would of thought felt faster?!?!

maybe im just under exagerating :S

when i was topping out in mine i have to say felt really weird and light. My stupidly shit stiff suspension doesnt help! cant wait to get rid of these D2's!!!!

Probably still is. A stock GT would have speed cut around 110mph. If it didn't, it obviously isn't stock...well not it the strictest sense of the word
