Even with a bolt in it will be much much better, anyone who has been in our no2 will confirm this. Had a full weld in multipoint FIA cage in no1 and no2 had an 8 point Cusco bolt in, not the silly blue show one but the black one. I can see where you are coming from but it will alow less flex than no cage. I actually welded a few points but most were left, amazing little car.
Not actually sure on stock rates, maybe 2.5kg front and 2 kg front rear. Not a lot that's for sure but I always bin the stock shocks unless it's just a stock run around. As long as you get some good FIA padding on the cage it shouldn't be a problem but it's defo something to consider good man. Don;t get the non FIA as it's not fire proof and turns in lava. I use the stuff from demon tweeks which is huge, doesn't look as good but protects you, you could hit your head on the window or the frame just as much but completely know where you are coming from. It also hikes insurance premiums and has to be declared.
For the track needed 100% for rigidity and safety. Once you've been in one fully caged with good bushes all round, attention to detail in every area then you will be shocked.
"Are you a racing driver" Dan (Starlet3sgte) asks me, "No" I reply, I just know how to make a Starlet handle! :haha:
