Turbo seals or what??

When left ticking over sometimes the car will give off a cloud of blue/white smoke dissapears after a slight reving very intermittent.. Then the other day I followed the missus while she was driving it and as she floored it there was smoke under acceleration. No smoke on idle just under acceleration its very minor when not giving it some any ideas I reckon its the turbo seals anything else that can cause?

Turbo Seals Check

Drive down a hill
stay in 1st/2nd gear
foot of gas
then after some speed slowly poot foot on gas

if there is smoke = seals!

what u described there is indeed ur turbo goin bad....i have rebuilt kits in my store but havent moved over from the old site as yet....if u need one let me know

deffo oil seals. i have the same problem, bought a new turbo aaagggeees ago but its still under my bed waiting to be fitted, and my car still smokes profusely!
partly because im too lazy and partly because i am scared to start such a big job!

I had the same problem too. I changed my turbo on saturday and it's fine now, no more smoke, yay. :)

Checked the plugs today and they're a bit shitty even though they're iridium (I don't know how many miles they've done as in when bought car) so gonna replace and hope my bike sells then may go either hybrid or td04 hope smokin doesn't get too bad:eek:............ 1 of the plugs looks burnt and another looks damaged so may explain the spitting from exhaust! Thanks all for help.

Speedvision is seal kit easy or you reckon its worth getting another turbo? (if it gets any worse?)

Try changing PCV valve first mate, only £26 or something from Toyota, could just be that...

(Going by what was said on the old forum)

i just had the same problem. was afraid to of the work load to switch to a bigger turbo(thinking about a tdo4) but i got a ct 12 instead. bolted right back on with no problem.

definetly. it only been on for a few days and its a whole different car. maybe its because i was driving on a beaten up turbo before but it feels great. i had no prbs with the install other than adjusting the housing. the water and oil lines were a direct fit. it sounds different and spools up faster. its not a bad upgrade. if u want something cheap to bolt on.

I have the very same prob at the moment.Just re-built my engine the valve stem oil seal had gone tits up on exhaust side cylinder 3.
Now thats all sorted.
on idle after a few mins it drifts out some smoke.
rev a bit it goies for a few mins.
also like you said diving is the same as u said.
so ppl recon turbo seals then.
What ae they like to replace???
How much for the kits.
