With JGM he does ecutek, simtek with antilag and launch control, solarus, gems, power fc his knowledge is endless. Everyone i know they've had there car mapped by him have never had a single issue, he does evo's aswell.

Very good with guessing figures aswell, he said my mates car was about 360, put it on the rollers.......361:D

Dynos cannot give you the same load on a car as if it were on the road.
Hence the reason in diffirences in boost delivery.

Hi guys,

Right a few things to clarify. Firstly thanks to Rory who has displayed good understanding how a dyno load can alter the boost delivery compared to a road run. This is spot on and explains why boost on the dyno peaks different to that on the road. Nothing to do with the 'accuracy' of the dyno.

The cars were run in 3rd which is fine and we do this on most of the cars we run or map. There is no 'rule' which says it has to be done in 3rd, 4th etc etc. We have tested many many cars using 3rd and 4th gear runs and as long as the car makes full boost there is little to zero differnece in paek bhp figures. We did this on Glanzagee's car on the day too with the same end result.

Also there is nothing 'wrong' with our dyno and I would not say it is conservative, simply realistic. Glanzagee's car definately has more power in it but possibly is suffering from problems with the AFR when on boost. I would recommend another map (as we did on the day) and yes Simon @ JGM could help with this and comes recommended by us here too!

Matthew - I certainly would not say 304bhp was conservative on your car mate and I remember at the time you saying about how it had made more than you expected so unsure of your rationale here?? My car at a very similar spec made 305.6bhp on our dyno btw.

Glad all had a good day. We all enjoyed it here and looking forward to the next one!

Mike - MM
