2wd RR Day
Im proud to announce my 1st official meet as TGTT Ulster area rep, and I hope to start off with a bang (or not in the literal engine sense!) with our autumn/winter meet in scenic Ballymena!
I have arranged for a dyno day to round up the progress of tuning for the year.
The rolling road is capable of 700bhp engines and thus should satisfy the most demanding Starleteer!
printouts will be provided on the day along with a few extra goodies:
--==(PRIZES!!!)==--
As its the first meet, im going to dip into my coffers a little and put my money where my mouth is!
===================================
Torque of the town competition!
===================================
Im going to have a huge printed and framed photo taken at the last NI meet by virtually pro photographer Jay up for grabs!!! all you have to do is throw down some much fabled Torque on the rolling road. I have chosen torque, as it gives a refreshing change from BHP monsters!
===================
'Show or Sh1te' contest!
===================
Due to our usually abhorant weather conditions in NI, ive decided that a show and shine may be a little hard to hold, thus as Baldrick once said 'I have a cunning plan!'. 'Show or Sh1te'
If it shines, whoever has the best finish, as judged by an independant judge, wins a pot of Wax, as purchased by me for the event!
if it 'sh1tes' it down, then whoevers paint beads the most water off, wins the wax! see what ive done there? lol
========
Dirtiest Bus
========
Just so Jay doesnt feel left out, there will be a competition on the day to see has the dirtiest car! Please try and stay legal by having clean lights and numberplates PLEASE! get mud plugging now!
Dirtiest Starleteer wins a bottle of car wash!
=============
CT9 Tuner Award
=============
As generously sponsored by Trevor from Jap-imports4u.co.uk, we are proud to announce a competition nearly everyone can contend for!
The prize is a used, but highly useable ADJUSTABLE PANHARD ROD!!!!
This can be used to adjust the allignment of the back wheels in relation to how left, or right, the back axle sits in the car. When lowering, the back axle will tend to sit to one side, this can be dialled back out with an adjustable panhard rod. An excellent prize im sure you'll all agree!!!
Thanks go to Trevor @ Jap-imports4u for this prize, check out his Trading section in our registered traders area!
So. How can you win this prize???
Well! thats easy! Simply turn up with your CT9 turbo'd starlet and roll! whoever can eek the most BHP from their car wins!!!
==================
Lowest Powered Starlet
==================
To show there is no shame in having a modest, reliable everyday car, Mi16 Chris has donated a melted piston to the prize list as a prize for whoever scores lowest on the day! think of it as the 'blankety blank cheque book and pen' of the day
Thanks Chris for what will be a good fun, sporting prize!!! a momento to keep for posterity and an excellent paperweight/bludgeoning tool!
=========
Other Prizes
=========
We are looking for other starleteers to donate prizes if possible. If you are a trader, the final report from the day will have a shameless plug, or if you wish as a 'civvy' member, you can have your name titled by, or a photo of yourself generously handing over your prize, followed by the warm glow in your heart that youve made someones day!!!
I have also purchased a huge quantity of keyrings, and will entrust Leanne on the day to present each owner with a keyring after their run. The keyrings will have TGTT on one side, and your reg and max power on the other!!! Just a little token of gratitude for coming along!
===========
Evening Event
===========
I am currently in talks with a large hotel with a goal of securing us their rooftop for an evening photoshoot. I understand that its now getting dark at night, so I have tried a few night shots at a local hotel (in Belfast city centre). The results were stunning, but the photoshoot wasnt strictly legit, and if we end up with 20 cars turning up unplanned, we may face the strong arm of the law. Leave this with me and I will endeavour to sort us something out.
Alternatively, I could arrange an evening meal for us at a fairly local restaurant, or back to Belfast in the portside as visited in the last meet.
either way im sure there is something for everyone!
Pricing for the RR day will be approx £35 per run.
There is NO LIMIT as to how many cars can run, Johnny has run 39 cars in a day before, so lets see if we can go better and manage 40!!!!
***ISSUE RESOLVED***
I have managed to get us rescheduled for the same day at auto tune in Ballymena.
The guys were shocked and pleased that we had considered them.
good news. IF we have the stated 40ish cars, then we get our run for £25 each!!!!!!
There is a cafe next door, and he has informed them of our intention to run the day, so they will cater for us at a good price.
bad situation, now good situation.
The only downer is it is a 2wd RR
im genuinely sorry to the 4wd boys, but needs must, ill do my best to get you AI for the next day.
