varis bonnet vs FMIC

I wouldn't block it off. it will look a bit gay. How about getting a metal plate nice shinny one or anodised or something and bolting it to the stock tmic mounts. This will keep the rain off the top of your engine and will look good under your bonnet and also won't make your bonnet look bad.

I took my carbon bonnet off and got a Glanza S bonnet which I think I prefer now. Id prefer a carbon Glanza S bonnet :)

You could always get an oil cooler and mount it where the TMIC was?

i think the best thing you could do is just get a glanza s bonnet and a front mount. keeps water from dripping onto the engine and the bulge makes it look awesome especially with a front mount.

Just had to clean one of the plugs today as it was full up with water and it made it cough and sputter :(

All sorted now :)

I've had the car for nigh on 11 months now and I've never had a problem with mis-fires because of water ingress. If you get a mis-fire when it's pissing it down, get a new set of leads and a dizzy cap (Mini mentality there :p) as the ones you have aren't doing their job properly. (Before anyone says anything, YES I have a random mis-fire problem, but it happens in the dry and when the lambda sensor is connected. I've disconnected the sensor and she's fine, even running through puddles (Save for the wheelspin and/or aquaplaning :p))

An oil cooler ontop of the engine is a bad idea TBH. You will get flow back when the engine is switched off (Unless you have a check valve in place) causing loss of pressure on restart. Not to mention the extra stress on the oil pump having to pump ~2 litres of extra oil higher than it did before.
