Its a wierd system and doesn't work as we'd hoped I think... But to get back on topic, only a nosey cnut would want to see everyone else's rep lol

See I really think people have not read the rite up in the last newsletter about the rep system.

Ive just searched all rep left for you Dave and there is ZERO negative rep.
As I have explained so many times if it shows up as zero or a blue coloured box it means the person who left you rep has not got any rep giving power so the comment shows but they dont add to your total.

As for it being a weird system? Its the ability to give your opinion on someone in a simple positive or negative way. If people cannot manage to clcik the right button then any system we introduce will fail but getting back to your 3 pages of rep that I have gone through - on each occassion they have managed to get it right so I would say people are having no trouble using it at all.

I wasn't having a moan...

My bad on the negative rep thing, I'm not too bothered about it anyway. If I'd wanted anyone to sort it I would have highlighted that directly. I was sharing my experience and opinion of it, and nothing more.

I stand by my original comments about it being a wierd system, but I wasn't meaning in terms of usability. If you can't use it, you don't deserve to use it lol.

As for the newsletter, I read it... 3 Months ago when it came out. My bad if I forgot the difference between green and blue 'rep'

Dave I didnt say you were moaning dude and as for the newsletter being 3 months old... I cant really explain the difference between green and blue rep every week so its fresh in peoples minds lol

I mean if any of you can think of a system that is easier to use then lets hear it.

As it stands we have red green or blue boxes explaining what rep was left for us

We have the ability to leave positive or negative rep with a comment

We can see other people rep total

We can see our rep giving power on the portal page

The rep being given out is monitored by admins

Im not being funny here but the sheer volume of reputation being assigned by people tells me the system is being used and the comments and threads the rep is left for shows, for the most part, that it is for help received from other members. So I can only say it appears to be working from where I am sitting but again if the majority want it switched off we can remove it very easily and it would save Jay and I the hassle of having to monitor it.

PS: as for it being a weird system you will have to ellaborate on that mate as without explanation of why it is weird we cant make it less weird... as always we are totally open to suggestion. Remember this is not some third party shitty hack we found it is the default reputation system that comes with Vbulletin and is used on thousands of forums.

I see the rep system working very well, and I don't have much rep at all, even if I managed to sell a few items on here I dont ask ppl to rep me, and I don't have time to post everyday loads of posts with advice for ppl what to do and what not to do. So I will work on that to increase my rep . As Dylan has explained it should not be a Sales Feedback rep, but more of what contribution one gives to the forum.

PS. one thing I noted though, you mods have too much rep I hope you aint sleeping together and rep'ing each other for each performance

haha to be honest I would take mods/admins rep with a pinch of salt. Fair enough I have gotten rep for assisting people - like did a few bits for a trader yesterday and they repped me to say thanks but in general staff will always get loads of rep from people so Id ignore that.
