also check the gasket between the thortle body and inlet manifold that can cause it to run high if broken

thers a screw on top of the inlet mani that adjusts the idle.simply pop off the rubber gromet and run it with a flat head screw t turn down the idle.

i did this and it changed my idle from 2200 to 1500 !!!

usually a worn gasket either the inlet manifold or the throttle gasket would make the car idle up and down not a steady idle. but id maybe do a diagnostic to check if anything comes up. bridge te1 and t1 and read the fault codes
