Visiting Northern Ireland

Hi guys, I will be going to Belfast for a few days next month, just wondering what places would be nice to visit? Will be renting a car, so anywhere within 50-60 miles of Belfast would be great.

Your suggestions of tourist attractions, bars or clubs would be appreciated.

Thanks.

ok ok, i admit portavogie was a piss take, i live there its not quite in the same league as portstewart portrush.

if you looking for clubs amusements shops or even humans, then portavogie is not the place to go.

all the best with your trip simon, NI is so small that really with a couple of hours at your disposal ther isnt many places you cant get.

According to wikipedia, Portavogie means "harbour of the bog" which sounds appealing. Well its only about an hours drive away, so will prob pop down to check out what a harbour of the bog looks like :)

thanks mate.

Can't believe Phil managed to get Portavogie in amongst the others LOL.

On the Ards Pennisula there's Mountstewart and the Aquarium in Portaferry. You can always skip across Strangford Lough on the ferry over next Downpatrick and see the Mourne Mountains and associated sights.

The Ulster Folk & Transport museum is a nice experience too if you get the chance.
