Water Inection

weejohn and azerty are correct...meth is very dangerous and should be stored properly......you shold also check you local laws to see if you are "allowed" to personally store it

i also remember hearing that it burns "transparent"....so you could start a fire that you cant see with the naked eye...which is not a good thing...i suppose that is why they advise a maximum 50/50 mix with water and no higher percentage of meth

if you do intend to use it.....note that it is said to be corrosive to rubber hoses......i guess it depends on the mix/concentration used

but i'm no expert in this are....so i would advice you check with those meth specialists

and methonol is usually expensive as... simple solution... just use metho :) i used a system that used metho instead of meth and it worked sweet as still burns colder and u can buy metho anywhere ;)

The reason car manufacturers dont use it would be because it needs topping up, which the average motorist would probably forget to do, meaning potentially dangerous conditions in the engine.

Water and alcohol injection works perfectly for the purpose it was designed

You say manufacturers dont use water injection as it needs refilled for the car to run, a bit like a petrol tank then?

All they have to do is add a water tank the size of which will run a full tank of fuel, and also put an indicator lamp on when nearly empty. Hell they could even put the ecu into safe mode if water runs out. Its not as if water is hard to find.

Water injection does work if set up properly, I never said it was bad, I just pointed out the fundamental flaw with water and what a better alternative was.

Weejohn, could i run a water methanol mix with that kit i put up? And also, I cant afford one that will run with an ecu, so what output would you recomend wiring it into, map sensor, boost pressue, etc?

And also, pre turbo, or after?

Water has higher octane than meth, and is better for knock resistance. Meth also has a lower calorific value than petrol.
