Running @ 1.1 Bar boost

The tuner was really happy with the results as well as me. He said stick a power boost valve on along with some adjustments and it will be getting abit more power and it will be a safer tune up the top end.

The turbo is rather laggy. It starts to hit boost around 3k RPM and its on full boost by 3.5k RPM (or would you say thats ok?) Its bigger than a ct9 due to the ct20 turbine side which is stuck on to the ct9 exhaust side. The car feels really agressive and pulls like a train!! Total differnt car now!

I had the car tuned at Noble Motorsport in Chesterfield. Really rate these guys. Had a few bit of work done there and they are real help full. they were all talking about the car yesterday. I think they love it lol

Any way I will get the power graph up asap!

good result matey bet your happy with that

Cheers,

Yeah Im real happy with it to be honest. I was running 213bhp with 174IBFT at 1bar so its made a good difference to the car. It feels so much better than the last results.

yeah thats quite an increase for .1 of a bar really aint it.

does it pull all the way to redline or does it tail off a bit before?

but by looks of when your figure was aquired looks like its all way to redline

Yeah it pulls right to the red line. The guy who tuned said it just wanted to keep going. I will probly get the rev limit moved and see what happens then.
He kept stressing that the turbo and engine really want more and he said if I get a power boost valve fitted he will give it some more :)

Have you got graphs to post up to go with this thread?

Very good result. Bet your well happy with it. Doesnt seem as laggy as some hybrids i have seen. The k24 turbo was creating full boost (1.5bar) at 3500 revs so its deffo not as laggy as u think. Would like to see the graphs tho :)

I have been to Noble once for a drive to speak to the people before i booked the car in with them. They seemed like good people but i ended up using someone else in the end. Quite a nice drive up there though :)

Yeah Iv got a graph to post up. Just waiting on the scanner to start working. I will take it my brothers in abit if I dont get it sorted.

They are cool people. Mike is a top man and has helped me loads with my build and what not. Always happy to give help and that.

Yeah I think its just me about the lag. It doesnt really bother me that much cuz when it kicks in it pulls real hard! Holds you back in the seat :)

Thats a well nice figure for a hybrid IMO! I wonder how long it will be until you get bored and go TD04 lol :p! Infact, a TD04L probably wouldnt be any laggier than that hybrid tbh!

and give roughly the same top end power or slightly more at that boost.

is it any wonder td04 is so commanly used?

very impressive result though Tom.

Thanks Toby :)

Yeah and well built it is mate!! Cheers.

You no the problem I had wit hthe timing? Well it wasnt the timing at all. It was a hole in a boost pipe which caused the car a few problems. All sorted now though :)

Should have another update in the next month :)

Thanks
