A 2" downpipe will only flow enough exhaust gasses for around 200bhp, if its that thin the back pressure will be backing up into the turbo at higher rpm and causing it to drop off boost and creating a lot of excess heat in the process :)

i do remember reading wat dub is saying, cant remember exactly who it was tho.

apprently the amount/speed of the air coming into the turbo the mesh actually takes away 1/2 of the room the air has to travel, as where a filter it is allowed to travel into the turbo interupted

Pretty sure it was hybrid-grant or something like that with the mesh restricting it. I think his car was only hitting 0.7bar the mesh was that restrictive and he was supposed to be aiming for 400bhp lol id say that could be the cause or obviously it may well be your DV or leaking decat

thanks i think it may well be my decat pipe being too thin !
