Such an entertaining read this thread....the filler hole/anti-syphon theory is good, but I'm not really convinced of it tbh...I can't imagine there being much of a demand for that kind of device in japan, where in most places keys are left in vehilces, in particular motorbikes!. so this gives you an idea of their etiquette...Surely Europe would be more the place you'd expect such a device to exist, but i doubt it even happens here much....

I know what they are, ive been researching now. There the lost evil Dragonballs from namuck, dont know how they got in your tank mate. but you might wanna cast the dragon and make a wish.

Glanzas definatly have anti syphon devices, it what makes the pump cut out when you try and fill it up. PLus they wouldn't float as you's be able to push a pipe past.
Any one breaking a glanza want to cut up the tank and find out.

No they don't float mate (hence the noise)!

I'm 90% sure the noise was non existent when I first got the car

Fuel gauge is working as good as ever!

couldnt you get a part list from toyota of the fuel tank and see if there, there has a part/part number??

This is something I may have to do, whip down to the local dealership and enquire!
