What is required for fueling upgrade

Hey guys . I am working on my ep82 GT starly, has the usual mods, front mount, bov, external with screamer on a rebuilt ct9, rrfpr, custom manifold and 2.5 exhaust with standard motor.

I am in the process of getting the bits together for a bigger turbo upgrade, i have a t25 turbo and downpipe, will be getting an adapter plate made for extractors and custom oil lines etc.

i dont want to ask a stupid question, but i am unsure of the answer,
I also want to upgrade the fueling to make sure nothing goes bang. Instead of going aftermarket can i use injectors from another type of car, such as supra fuel pump and injectors etc. I hear 1800 Mazda GTX injectors are a straight swap.

I will eventually get a link computer.

cheers

when u stick the injectors and fuel pump in you really want a fuel computer to sort it out otherwise your fueling will be all over the place and it will go bang. sort the computer injectors and pump at the same time

cheers mate thats exactly what i wanted to know.

Generally are the only reliable fuel upgrades, removing standard FPR and replaceing with an aftermarket RRFPR?

Or are there other fueling upgrades which the standard computer can handle

at least you would be better off getting an apexi safc. using an fpr only is not the best and safest method.

you can buy an apexi safc for £50, get it setup correctly and all will be well with your engine.

I only know a little bit about the SAFC's but would it be best to wait till i have put a bigger turbo on

Then put injectors and fuel pump in once at the same time i install a link computer?

no.

buy a safc get that setup up, so your car will be running spot on, then save the money for the turbo and new computer.

when you take the safc off you can then sell it on again and get your money back so tecnicly you wont be out of pocket.

this is just my opinion, and the safest way, thats wot i would do.

do you's think i should get an apexi safc neo
just got fuel pump and injectors already have the sard rrfpr and was set up on the rolling road.
getting it set up again this weekend with the pump and injectors on would this be ok or is a safc needed??

IT would be best mate, as it will be over fuelling massively, in the low revs and fuelling just right in the higher revs.
