toyota_BG if you want to run 2.5 - 2.7 bar (36 - 39psi) you will need at least a 4 BAR map sensor, remember that when a map sensor is a 2 bar it can only read 1 bar of positive pressure likewise a 3 bar can only read 2 bar of positive pressure. The max boost a 3 bar map sensor can read is 2 bar or 29.xx psi.

um well yeh it would be a good idea. i belive that map sensors use diffrent voltage's for the signal so you would need to get one that read's a wider band but has the same voltage as the standard one.

someone on this site must know more about it. i would like to know more about this as well. on the emanage you can see when the map sensor get's to its limit as the line on the graphs goes' flat lol.

That would be impossible as they as they read 0-5volts.

For most car's the power FC's come with there own map sensor. Which is a 3 bar 1. So you can read to nearly 2 bar.

If this isn't the case with you, i'd go for 1 of them. Please bare in mind you'd need a remap afterwards. If your not mapped yet, then it's a simply tweak before you start.

if you fit a 3bar apexi map sensor on a powerfc and choose the precalibrated selection on the commander or laptop you dont need a remap. you only need a remap if you wanna run more boost than 1.3, which will mean you have to change the fuel and ign map's scale.
