why do people cry about reposts so much

so many of us have posted something we find cool or funny and most say something on the lines of thats cool, awesome, haha, lol and so on
but then comes some one who has seen it before, they could just go oh i have seen this click the back button and continue to read other posts. ooooooooooooohhh no, this is madness to them, bearing in mind they are bitchin coz they have already seen it they then take the time to tell me its a repost, well fuck me im sorry, i really should have checked what some else posted at 4 in the fuckin morning. some people even go to the length of finding a pic they can upload to further express there upset of a repost.

what is the point really, yet another to add to the worthless comments that are poping up every day on this forum now.

i agree a lot of people post comments to make themselves look intelligent and elevate themselves above others, i think its just arrogance myself and it doesn't help when mods do it too, they should be leading by example

If you take the same context and apply it to everyday conversation, how long would it be until your friends told you that you were repeating yourself? Also, the other implication, is filling up the board with duplication. The more that's on here, the slower the site becomes, the more time it takes to search, etc etc etc...

There's obviously no hard and past rule, but, if you can take a quick look before you post, it's better to not post than to repost. Just think of the people that comment about reposts as trying to help the forum out... ;)

3. No snuff videos or images (real violence etc)
4. No spam of course
5. No fights guys....

ok so search for what, i put up a pic yesterday and a fat kid that looks like a beaver with his hat sideways, how the fuck do i search for that to see if it has been posted, questions such as how do u fit a fcd or how much power can a ct9 produce then yeah u can search for that but alot u cant, and it the videos and pics that people usual make apparent its a repost so its a loosing battle for who ever posted it,
oh and bollox are they looking after the forum, they saw some one else put it once so they thought they would as super cool and start doin, so on so whilst some like yourself maybe saving the saving so that the world does not end most others are not

ah but then you get the people who post up videos that are already saved in our VIDEO section or people to include in the title of there thread, "i dont care if its a repost"

its for these offenses that people whinge so much about reposts. yes the technical stuff is painful to read over and over, but noone screams REPOST, we all tell them to search you search for them and provide the info.

its like the challenge with funny stuff is to be the first person to post it :)

its all good.
