why take of the efi pipe?

What about the metal pipe that goes down the engine? What do I connect to that pipe since the hi/lo hose goes in there to control the hi/lo boost?

Leave it there for now as one end is on the actuator i think...

So you are saying just leave the part in red arrow disconnected? Will it affect the boosting as it is the hi/lo hose pipe? Also can I loop it this way in the picture than the way that's recommended here? I think this way is more direct and reduces the travel.
