Windscreens...

Hey people.

Had autoglass out to replace my windscreen today. A stone flew up and cracked it last week.

All was going well untill it came to putting the new screen in.
Put it in and it turns out it is too small!!!
Bout 2 inches short at the bottom and 2 inches too narrow at the sides.

Autoglass say that the screen they have is for a 96 starlet though.
The fitter is hoping that its the wrong screen that has been labeled up wrongly.

Anyone had this problem before?
Are there many variations of screen for EP91?

Cheers

Don't know about Ep91,the ep82 and uk starlets share the same screen, thers only one type with touch of blue tint

european cars have a slight blue tint whereas older jap spec screens are generally an orangy tint. tbh, the tint is so slight you probably wouldnt notice it, the cost of having a jap spec tint you would notice though ;)

EP91 screens are all the same dimensions.

My guess is they have just got an incorrectly labelled screen.

The tint on Glanza's is green, see EPC for front windscreen:

56111 GLASS, WINDSHIELD
56111‑10370 EP9*, NP90; *LAM, T=4.7, GREEN

The rest of the windows are about 3.5 % green.

Autoglass have made a mistake, any 1996+ glass will fit, just the tint and region type varies.
