lol yeah i need a diff big style, kind of annoying that theres no traction in 1st and second. think my box is about to blow aswell as its a tad noisy :p hopefully tobe is ganna sort me out on another exedy paddle mate.

where you getting nos from? was size jets?

think anti lift kit will help abit, i only noticed today that my boost controller has been setup to run 1.3-1.4bar in 1st and second and then hits 1.55 in 3rd up. does fluctuate abit though so i think its toime for external wastegate :)

mines exactly the same mate although i haven't got a B/C... all controlled by the ECU at the moment.... set boost.... although in 1st and 2nd i dont get more then 0.8BAR the 3rd about 1BAR 4th sometimes creeps to 1.1BAR when really cold.......

I'll be getting the anti lift kit myself soon, cheap and effective....

My syncros are getting really bad too :(

im not sure if it has been setup like that,or if its due to the spinning up in lower gears and not getting on load properly????

you know what thats an excellent point you bring up mate, that could very well be it as obviously i have the exact same problem in the 1st 2 gears even alot of the time 3rd spins right through too.....

I wasnt informed of my boost being set that way so i think your right....

yeah thats what i was thinking. as i know mine hits the limiter before it can get to the full boost, so more than likely that mate.

(had a look at your motor again, sump looks like its got much better clearance) :)

Yeah you want to moderate boost in the first three gears without a doubt unless your running on full slicks and your specifically setup for the qtr mile. Putting that power down on crap surfaces with street tires will be ni on impossible.

Looks like it was a good meet until I got to the end! Like Dan mentioned a WL Antilift kit will work a treat, also make sure all your lowerarm, ARB, twist beam bushes are tip top otherwise you'll be all over the place with those torque monsters!

@dantheman, yeah it is mate, much much better with the 16's up front, havent hit the sump once :) very happy its solved the problem, didnt want to be going on my 4th sump lol.....

@Toby definitely mate.... no matter what i do, full throttle will never get grip in 2nd, hardly ever in 3rd but still goes alright while spinnig, even without an LSD, weird....

mind you, leaving Clacket Lane Services Saturday, attempting to keep up with Speed Racer ^^^, I had no traction till 4th...and I have all the stereotypical "traction mods" everyone mentions...inc. some wornish tyres :p

Was amusing to say the least, thought I blew the LSD

Still feel like such a 'tard from the moment you said it was the splitter making the noise...and realising that perhaps fixing the bumper on with just 4 bolts cause I was too lazy to do the rest was probably not the best plan of action :p :(

btw: thanks to the Mini-meet convoy for waiting for me after my car conked out unexpectedly, much appreciated darlings :eek: - but to be fair, it's expected that something would go wrong with my car, it just wouldn't be normal if it didn't :p

Indeed I did, hehe. Engine's not sporting much right now to be honest, just your typical modifications like a FMIC (Ford Focus ST), 2.5" Hayward & Scott Exhaust System, Custom EFi Pipe, SARD Thermostat, Apex-i Air filter, Blitz Downpipe, heat reflective tape/heat wrap on Intercooler & Intake pipes as well as on the Downpipe, Tom's TECS ECU...

Waiting to get my CT9b on with a JAM Actuator, along with a JAM Manifold (though I could be swayed to another)...but that's just the beginning really, will hopefully go for a 5E/4E hybrid come March/April, and ultimately I want to end up with a Blitz K1 turbo...so much, much further to go really :)

sounds good mate, did you fit the engine and loom yourself then? why your car break down??

nah chap - not quite confident enough to start fiddling with wiring and engine internals quite yet (everything else is fine enough), will do eventually though

Meh, it seems like someone may have thought it funny to have loosened off the distributor-coil Lead...or I may have left it loose when wrapping the intercooler pipe...pretty sure it was the former :p
