LOL, get stuck in and have a go on a old spare engine 1st, not much to it, what sort of stuff have you wrapped the pipes in looks like that metal tspe you can get?

it's what I intend to do with the 5efhe's I'm buying in to break 
Shame the only place to work on is a muddy Student-House driveway/"garden"
Well I've used heatwrap on the Turbo-side Intercooler pipe (as it's very close to the intake pipe), and Aluminised Heat Reflective Fiberglass Tape on the Intake Pipe (stupidly, it goes straight over the manifold too) and Throttlebody-side Intercooler pipe. Works well to be honest, but it's going on a "touch test" from before and after right at the throttlebody. Would prefer using the Graphite impregnated wrap (not that my meagre setup generates much heat), but it's too expensive for my Student wallet

lucky for you, you didn't buy a MTX MXA6001 752W (RMS) Amplifier to go with it, then i'd get REALLY angry!!!!!!!!

im not gonna boot it at the moment since my car's got a slight oil leak - that was half throttle on low boost!
