seems like the autobahn fmic kit has a very thick flange on the turbo end......which can give problems for fit up........solutions seems to be either file down the flange or change the two bolts on the turbo compressor-----from what i've read

I would ideally like to compact this thread down once you are happy it is exhausted Andy. It would make excellent reading for anyone looking a FMIC.

Does someone have a pick of a HDi mounted on an EP91 without AC? I recently took off my AC and there is alot of room there now and I dont rekon the bumper would need to be cut too much...

i just wanna say that a front mount intercooler is a piece of kit that a lot of people upgrade and it can be a piece of kit that a lot of people dont really know a great deal about. i think this thread was awesome in the aspect that it gives good info about the main coolers for the EP's and think this post should be made easily accessible or at least snippets of the info should be moved to an area within the resolved section. anyone agree?

ive just searched for it because im in the stage of finding the right fmic for myself and have found it very useful.

Not everyone will know this thread actually exists...

does anyone happen to know the WEPR dimentions end to end, Iv seen a universal FM on ebay which is 540*230*65 but end to end its 690 do you think that would be to big for a mk2 bumper??

Jut want to compare it to my WEPR one so need the dimensions

a lot of guys buy thier cores from ebay or performance shops (many get them from ebay----lol)....these are usually very generic cores which can be obtained in both tube/fin or bar/plate

however, all cores are not created alike.........this may be the reason that some people complain of "a little lag" and " not cooling well enough""

when buying a core...u really should check out its info sheet----pressure drop, cooling efficiency.....IF they provide it........if they dont, then it may be best to investigate another core

certain companies produce custom cores....tried and tested....but cost a bit more

ive been looking into replacing my arc tmic with a front mount, and im thinking about buying a autobahn item.at £195 it seems good value for money, who on here has one of these and are they any good?..whats the instalation like cos the pipes look very long routed and the intercooler itself looks a ad big for my std ct9...whats peoples views.:)

Ive got one and cant complain. Never really seen much negative about them tbh?
I do agree on the long pipework though, mine runs staright above my manifold. Think the hdi ones have a better setup
