Fog light dangling - Urgent info needed

Hello all

I've just noticed that the fog light which should be screwed to underneath the bumper is hanging. I've tried to stick it back on with various types of sticky stuff including double sided tape and velcro but with no luck at all.

It must've happened on this mornings commute to work. What can i do as i don't want to leave it dangling and i finish work at 5:00pm.

I found the sticky pads you get from halfrauds very strong, they're the ones you buy to stick rear/side mirrors onto your car. alternatively, im sure cable ties could work as a temp fix

Snip the wires and sort it when you get home mate. Unless its super foggy where you are at the mo.
I dont even bother having one of them on lol. I just tuck the wires under the bumper for when i need it for MOT..

I've had a look at this although its difficult to get under the car due to all the snow around it. There isn't anything to cable tie it around apart from the exhaust, but nothing else

How do i snap the wire, can it be done with scissors, will i need to open up the fog light to get to the wire?
How do you tuck the wires under the bumper as there isn't anywhere to hold them up.
Also isn't it dangerous to have a live wire dangling, i don't want the car to catch fire.

lol there should be two wires going into the back of the light... undo the screws and just make note of where the wires go....

I tucked the wires up under the bumper with some strong tape. I made sure the ends of the wires were taped with electric tape and made sure the rear fog light switch is never on...

hi mate
Mine only has one white wire going into the fog light, do i undo the front red bit of the fog light. Will it be live when i undo it? I'll have to check on the electric tape as i dont have any of that, will brown or normal tape do?
