ive stripped the rear out of my V. I made up some 6x9 holders out of lightweight ply and attached it in the rear quater/rear door cards. Does the job. But its all coming back out now as im going full stripped and as light as possible. :D

ditch the 6x9's they sound awful unless individually amped and will rattle with everything stripped out.

get a decent set of components amped up front, and that should be all you ever need, could go for an "active" set up, 2 amps, one for each side, will sound way better than any 6x9s can offer

mounted on some MDF rings in custom door pods (not hard to do) and a bit of sound deadening in the door to stop the handles etc rattling, it will sound mint,

do you run a sub? if you run a sub one of the worst things you can do is run 6x9's, and they are mainly used for filling in the rear for passengers to be able to hear etc, no t needed if you only have front seats
