I had the same problem.. took the engine apart and 3 pistons ringlands were borken

ooh thnx for the info 5e colin. Im from Suriname (south america) so 5efhe rods are very hard to come by..I can only find the thin 5e rods

I removed my pistons to put new hasting piston rings and saw that one of my 5e connecting rods is a little bent. Can i still drive with it

what needs to be modified with the 4efe sump ? because the guy who has the 4efte sump is charging me $150 ($250 with the oil pick up)

yes I know this topic has been covered alott of times but i only see them on ep91 I have a starlet Gi and planning to do a turbo on it. reason why i'm not buying a 4efte engine is because i cant find any in my country, I can buy them on ebay and ship it to here but it will coast about $1800...

so my car is a 4speed automatic and planing to do a auto to manual conversion.. the thing is I can only find 4speed manual.. actually wanted me a 5 speed :( my question is whats the difference between the 4 and 5 speed? expect that one has a extra gear. and do i need to change my ecu...
