I'm planning on checking the timing on my 4efte and i was wondering if anyone knows what timing marks to follow? i dont have a service manual for the motor so i dont know what the oem marks are to set everything to stock. Would this be the same marks as on the 5efe motor? or does someone have a...

i dont know about the head gaskets, i would imagine maybe the 4e are a little stronger? could have different oil pathways, but seeing as the head is the same i've ordered 5efe headbolts as they apparently measure the same length.

i still would need to know if the headbolts are the same... 4efte engines aren't available here, i start a new job on monday and i can only get 5efe headbolts. So i need something quick.

i know that 4efte and 5efe have the same head, does anyone know if the headbolts are the same?

Hey man, im from Canada and i bought a clutch for my 4efte motor that was listed to fit a 4age 90 corolla gts. The clutch is 212mm. The clutch is the same as that off of a mk1b MR2 (1.6L 4age) which is the same motor that came in some corollas. When looking for a clutch from aftermarket sources...

gorganl2000, you said your getting one for 600 us from the dealer? that seems a bit pricey as i bought my TRD helical off ebay for 450 with bearings and speedo gear, shipping was only about 40 bucks... the guy who sells them gets them all the time, he even sells the Quaiffe for around 600...
